Stability Analyses EC

Software for calculating stability analyses according to EuroCode and DIN 18800

Determine proof of stability - quickly and easily!

This program makes it extremely easy for you to calculate stability analyses – without the need for complex input and without the knowledge of exotic coefficients!

Stability analyses EC calculates for you:

  • fixed columns - with or without crane and intermediate support

  • gable columns - with or without crane and intermediate support

  • hinged columns - optionally with intermediate support and double bending

  • gable corner columns - with or without crane and intermediate support

  • hall frames - with or without crane and torsional elastic support of the supporting beam

Stability Analyses EC is standard-compliant.

Like all products in the STAHL 2000 range, Stability Analysis EC works in accordance with standards. The calculation can be switched between the old DIN 18800 and the new EuroCode 3 standard at the click of a mouse.

Stability Analyses EC is a product of the STAHL 2000 series and is available both as a stand-alone program and as part of the Program Packages Hall and Static Analysis.

Extensive library for pendulum rods, supports and hall frames

... ... ... ... ... ...

The stability analyses include an extensive library of various typical steel components in many design variants:

  • common hinged column with normal force and 2-axis bending, optionally with 1 or 2 intermediate supports in the weak axis.

  • common fixed column, optionally with support on the column head in the weak axis as well as consideration of a crane load application and intermediate support.

  • gable columns with wind load, normal force from roof load and optional intermediate support with crane load.

  • gable corner columns, rotatable by 90°, with wind load on long wall or gable wall and optional consideration of intermediate supports (bracing) in both directions.

  • complete two-hinged hall frames, optionally with consideration of crane loads and torsionally flexible mounting of the frame crossbar.

Clear results and versatile output

The standard output system of STAHL 2000 is used to output the results.
You can preview the output on the screen and output to a printer, PDF or Word document.

PTC Mathcad. An ideal tool.

With Mathcad you can easily create a calculation document with text, images and formulas. Similar to a text editor, but the formulas are automatically mathematically exact and the formula content is not just text, but variable values.

In our opinion, Mathcad is one of the most underrated programs and should not be missing in any engineering office!
