Frame Corner EC

Quickly and easily calculate and dimension frame corners - according to EuroCode 3

Frame Corner EC is the fastest way to calculate and dimension frame corners!

The software checks all relevant areas of the design, from the introduction of shear forces into the column to the connection at the transition between haunch and crossbar.

The calculations of Frame Corner EC are extensive, but the operation is as simple as usual - thanks to the clear tab system and the reduction to a few, generally understandable input values!

Frame Corner EC is standard-compliant.

Calculations and dimensioning are performed according to the current EuroCode standard by default, but can also be performed according to DIN 18800 if required.

Frame Corner EC is a product of the STAHL 2000 series and is available both as a stand-alone program and as part of the Program Packages Hall and Static Analysis.

Calculation and dimensioning of frame corners,

simple, fast and reliable!

Thanks to STAHL 2000's proven tab system, the calculation and dimensioning of the frame corners is completed in a minimum of time.

Versatile and yet clearly arranged

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

The Frame Corner EC software supports the calculation of frame corners in many different ways, but you always keep the overview.

The procedure:

You define the haunch area of the frame corner using the web thickness and flange dimensions.
This means that frame corners made of welded sheet metal can be represented in the same way as frame corners with a continuous transom and cup-shaped beams welded underneath, or even flared profiles with welded sheet metal triangles.

The connection to the column is either a welded connection or an end plate connection.

Depending on the design, the verification at the transition between the haunch and the horizontal member is either a simple profile verification or a rigid end plate connection.

Other variations are also possible, such as the transfer of shear forces to the column, either with or without stiffening ribs.

Convenient data migration from Hall Frame EC and Monopich Roof Frame EC

The frame corner verifications require internal forces at various locations and some geometric data, such as

  • Internal forces in the corner

  • Bending moment in the column below the frame corner

  • and the internal forces at the transition between the frame corner and the horizontal beam.

These values can be entered in the usual way in clearly arranged input fields on the respective tabs.

If you are also using our Hall Frame EC or Monopitch Roof EC Frame software, you can import the data directly from a frame calculation and transfer it to Frame Corner EC.

How does it work?
You call up the "Data Import" function, select the .re file that is automatically stored when you save in Hall Frame EC or Monopitch Roof EC – done! a

It couldn't be easier or faster!

Clear results and versatile output

The standard output system of STAHL 2000 is used to output the results.
You can preview the output on the screen, display graphics (system, influence lines) and output to a printer, PDF or Word document.

PTC Mathcad. An ideal tool.

With Mathcad you can easily create a calculation document with text, images and formulas. Similar to a text editor, but the formulas are automatically mathematically exact and the formula content is not just text, but variable values.

In our opinion, Mathcad is one of the most underrated programs and should not be missing in any engineering office!
