For the calculation, you simply provide the overall dimensions, the bay lengths of the gable wall and the roof structure, the orientation of the corner columns and the selection of the intended profiles. In addition, you provide some information about the loads, select the snow and wind load zones and, in the case of a crane hall, enter the support loads from a crane girder calculation.
This is essentially all the preparation required for the gable wall calculation.
Everything else, such as the generation of the structural system, the compilation of the load cases and the actual calculation, is done for you by Gable Wall EC!
In addition to the determination of internal forces, Gable Wall EC also provides complete dimensioning of all components.
This is based on the profiles defined in the input. Calculations are performed according to EuroCode (optionally DIN 18800), including flexural buckling and lateral torsional buckling checks.
A special part of the program is available for the design of bracing members. For example, the diagonal bars can be specified as round bars, angle profiles or threaded rods.
Of course, Gable Wall EC also includes bolt dimensioning for gusset plate connections!
The standard output system of STAHL 2000 is used to output the results.
